Alexandre Boyes, the family owned estate agents in Tunbridge Wells, has acquired the sales & lettings book of Foxwood Maclean (Edenbridge).

First established in 1877 as Fox & Manwaring, FoxWood Maclean is the oldest firm of estate agents and chartered surveyors covering Edenbridge and the surrounding areas.

Alexandre Boyes, provides sales, letting and property management services. Led by Kate Boyes, Alexandre Boyes Group Director and Dan Boyes, Sales Director, the business opened their doors on Mount Ephraim almost 20 years ago. The Group now manage over 2,500 properties between their lettings and estate management business, from cottages and country homes, to blocks of flats and town houses.

Kate Boyes, Alexandre Boyes Group Director, explained: “In a competitive market, Alexandre Boyes goes from strength to strength. It’s been well reported that increasing legislation is impacting the residential sales and letting market, but we embrace change. We see it as a genuine opportunity for us as an independent, firm to demonstrate our quality and local insight.

‘Along with many others in our sector, we have long admired FoxWood Maclean for their local knowledge and commitment to the communities they serve. To combine FoxWood Maclean and Alexandre Boyes’ depth of local knowledge means our clients will benefit from a thorough understanding of town and country properties across west Kent, Sussex and Surrey. Dan and I also have a strong family connection to Edenbridge. Our grandparents, great aunt and great uncle ran three very well known pubs in the Eden Valley, The Kentish Horse (Markbeech), The Rock Inn (Chiddingstone Hoath) and The Castle Inn (Chiddingstone) in the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. It’s a beautiful part of the world”

Mark Weaver, Director FoxWood Maclean, commented “It may sound a cliché but Alexandre Boyes is an obvious fit because we both have a tradition of excellent service, personal commitments to where we live and work, and operate at the highest professional standards. It is these shared values that have seen both practices work together over the years and I have no doubt our clients will continue to benefit from our combined market knowledge and deeply rooted experience”.
