As a family business we have grown up in the area and we are now raising the next generation of our family in the town. Part of the incentive of setting up a family business is that it allows us to run the business in a flexible manner with customer services at the heart. Our staff and clients live locally and we are a true local business. We feel it is important to give something back to our local community and have some fun while doing it.
In previous years we have worked with the Pembury Hospital Special Care Unit, the Children’s Trust, Demelza and Hospice in the Weald.
Our chosen charities for 2013 are MacMillan, providing support to those suffering from cancer, and The Jago Worrall Foundation, set up following Jago’s near drowning accident and in response to his need for care and ongoing rehabilitation. We will be posting details of fundraising events throughout the year, which so far include Tough Mudder in Brighton and the triathlon at Hever Castle.
In June 2012 we spent the day at Langton Green Fete 'throwing a wet sponge at the estate agent' and raised nearly £200 for Demelza & Hospice in the Weald.
In August 2012 we 'threw wet sponges' at Tonbridge Castle raising money for Guide Dogs for the Blind.
We have enclosed photos of the events above.
In 2012 we also helped advertise Fordcombe Village Fete, Penshurst School Fireworks Night & Holmewood House School Christmas Fair.
On Friday 16th November 2012 the team were dressed in pyjamas and to raised money for Children in Need; read more about the event here.
On Friday 15th March 2013 AlexB baked cakes for Red Nose Day and managed to raise a grand total of £244.00 – thank you!
