Congratulations to our Associate Director, Keren Dolan who has successfully completed the Government backed Build to Rent (BTR) property management Level 4 qualification. With over 14 years’ experience Keren heads up our Estate & Block Management division and is a member of the Institute of Residential Property Management (IRPM), the leading professional body for residential property management professionals. Under Keren’s direction our Estate & Block Management portfolio has seen a 100% growth rate, covering an area extending from West London, through the London boroughs, Kent and East Sussex, ending on the coastline of Hastings.
BTR developments are designed for rental rather than sales typically involving one agent to let and manage. Alexandre Boyes Ltd already let and manage BTR sites and we believe this sector of the property industry will continue to grow. At the beginning of 2019 there were reportedly 139,508 BTR homes in the UK, 29,416 complete and 43,374 under construction. A 40% increase on 2018. There were also 66,718 BTR homes in planning – an increase of 10% on 2018 (reference ‘Building boom for UK build-to-rent housing’ British Property Federation https://www.bpf.org.uk/media-listing/press-releases/building-boom-uk-build-rent-housing ).
The 2-year course examines the BTR concept, asset management, health & safety legislation, life cycle management, planned maintenance programmes, contract procurement and financial reporting along with exploring the various forms of construction, fit out, environmental and energy performance, and the impact of the planning framework on the B2R sector.
