Book keeper / Management Accountant’s Role

To account for all Alexandre Boyes Group businesses and Resident Property Management Ltd

Experience of Sage necessary.

1. Day to Day Tasks

Processing Transactions - Supplier invoices, Bank transactions and petty cash, Journals
Processing Payments - Prepare supplier payments on behalf of businesses, payment set up
Monthly Control Account Reconciliations - Debtors and creditors, Bank accounts, Petty cash, Payroll accounts, Inter-company accounts, VAT (quarterly)
VAT Returns
Credit Control

2. Management Accounting

Monthly Reports

  • Monthly fees for each income stream (unadjusted for deferred income)
  • Monthly payroll costs against budget
  • Confirm control accounts reconciled 
  • Detailed aged debtor reports for all businesses
  • Detailed aged creditor reports for all businesses
  • Inter-company account balances (review for transfer of funds)
  • Simple cash demands report for the coming month (eg. cash balance, debtors, creditors, PAYE and VAT)

Quarterly Management Accounts

  • Account adjustments 
  • Profit and loss account and balance sheet for each business
  • Forecasts / budgets for the year

Emma Gasson

Director | Residential Lettings

Emma has been working within the lettings industry now for 10 years, starting as a Lettings Negotiator in Tunbridge Wells in 2007, joining Alexandre Boyes in 2009, being promoted to Lettings Manager in 2011. Emma accepted our invitation to become a Partner of Alexandre Boyes in April 2015. Emma qualified as member of ARLA in 2010 and qualified as an Associate of the RICS in 2016.

Emma is involved in all elements of the letting process from sourcing and securing new business through to check out at the end of a tenancy. She is responsible for the smooth running of our lettings team on a day to day basis. The lettings team at Alexandre Boyes were shortlisted for the Best Single Lettings Office in the South East at The Times & Sunday Times Letting Agency of the Year Awards, and won Lettings Office of the Year at the West Kent Property Awards.

When Emma isn’t working she enjoys spending her free time horse riding in the local countryside and travelling.

"Demand from tenants continues to grow, indicating that renting is now more of a lifestyle choice. Large deposits are required to purchase a home and applicants need to meet strict lending criteria, meaning that many people find renting a better option. We continually work and advise landlords how best to present their properties to attract the best possible tenants."
